While my style is heavily focused on real moments, I’ll be in your corner and here to guide you through every step of the way. Before a session, 9/10 of people say to me “we’re not models” or “sorry, we’re super awkward in front of the camera” and that’s 100% okay, and quite honestly expected! I work with real people with real stories, and would never expect more than that from anyone stepping in front of my camera. So lend me your trust, let go of the worries of “posing” or making sure each hair is perfectly in place. No, I don’t! I 100% believe that editing can be half the magic that goes into photos, and without this major step, the images are only halfway done. I promise I will never leave out any photos that you desperately want and need, and if you feel I’ve missed delivering a photo, just ask! I’ll be happy to look back through all the images. I don’t alter the way you look other than skin blemishes or anything temporary that would not normally be there (bruise, scrape, acne etc. unless you’d like me to keep it in photos.) Alaska is one moody gal, and I’ve taken photos in just about any type of weather you can think of. I’ll always encourage embracing whatever comes our way, I believe it’s beautiful and unique in photos! If the weather is harsh enough that it would make for a dangerous/miserable time, we will definitely work together to reschedule for another date. Retainer fees are non-refundable but can be transferred to another date.
